公开资料显示，杨利娟于1995年加入海底捞，从服务员岗位开始，前后担任过领班、店经理、小区经理、大区经理等，2018年，杨利娟任海底捞首席营运官，主要负责监督海底捞的营运。2021年，其担任海底捞执行董事兼副首席执行官，主导“啄木鸟计划”。2021年1月，杨利娟登上《胡润中国职业经理人榜》，身家125亿元。2022年3月1日，杨利娟被正式任命为海底捞首席执行官（CEO）。

海底捞此次在公告中直接点明杨利娟将统筹“红石榴计划”，该计划是海底捞2024年8月推出的多品牌孵化战略，以内部创业和集团赋能为核心，试图制造第二增长曲线。截至2025年底，海底捞已推出20个餐饮品牌，共计207家餐厅。

张勇回归后，在公司内推行“掌勺人”和“百姓餐厅”双体系孵化机制，前者聚焦员工自主创业，后者偏向总部主导的项目孵化。但在各个细分品类已充分竞争的餐饮界，让内部员工跳出既有模式创业并不容易。不少消费者在社交网络上表示，海底捞的副牌仍摆脱不了“海底捞味”。

此前海底捞陷入“员工自费买礼物”事件舆论风波，4月13日，海底捞发布致歉声明，承认查实有4起相关事件，表示主要责任在董事会，而非店长。海底捞反思称，乱象根源是董事会过度激励店长，弱化总部职能建设，不切实际地要求店长完成过多管理职能，并对门店过度考核，导致管理层产生恐惧和焦虑，进而将压力传导至基层员工。（相关新闻：海底捞CEO致歉）

此外，2025年海底捞收入微增，但净利润与翻台率出现下滑。海底捞董事会副主席兼执行董事周兆呈表示，“无论是翻台率下滑，还是客流承压，肯定还是我们管理层做得不好。”（相关新闻：翻台率下降，外卖业务翻倍增长，海底捞2025年增收不增利）
